Restaurant Review: Zaika
January 2, 2008 by Narayanan Aier
Happy New Year! (sorry, forgot about that in the last post!)
Although I didn’t have a great New Year’s Eve, I did have a good time the day before 31st December.
Since my family is down here, a few of our family friends invited us over to this restaurant, Zaika in Al Murooj Rotana, Dubai. It’s located off Sheikh Zayed road. “Serving Indian Food with class”- that’s how I would sum it up. It’s a real classy place. When you do decide to dine there, please make sure you reserve your table and dress well. But more importantly (brace yourselves), it serves the most amazing Dal Makhni. Yes, it took away that honor from Asha’s (read previous post). Also, I’m told that they whip up a nice Madras Mojito (that’s what it’s called!)
umm…on 5, I would give it a 4.9. I’m taking away a tenth of a point for making me climb a flight of stairs while leaving the restaurant. Guess you need that kind of a walk (actually more) after the sumptuous and heavy meal!
Hope all of you had a great New Year’s. Wishing you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
